Let’s set an example to Michigan and the rest of the nation what it looks like to unite people from different backgrounds, political persuasions, and belief systems around simple common sense policies. I want to represent YOU in Lansing. As a history teacher and football coach, I lecture my students about the importance of teamwork and servanthood. It is up to us to make our state a better place. I want to empower you to invest back into our community by lowering taxes, encouraging businesses, and passing legislation to benefit our teachers and students.

Common Sense Policy
Education
DON’T TAX TEACHERS.
Casey will immediately work to ensure that the best teachers are incentivized and encouraged to teach in our schools by drafting legislation to exempt teachers and school staff from state income tax.
NO PHONES IN SCHOOL
As a teacher, Casey endorsed and testified in favor of HB 4141, a bill signed into law this February by Governor Whitmer, creating a statewide mandate for schools to prohibit cellphones in class. Casey provided pivotal testimony in committee.

Low Taxes
DIAPERS ARE HEALTHCARE
The average family with little ones spends about $100 a month on diapers or pullups. These are essential items for a baby or toddler. They are not a luxury, they are a necessity. Casey will categorize diapers as tax deductible expenses which can be claimed as health care purchases.
NO STATE PROPERTY TAX
Casey plans to cut the state property tax and the real estate transfer tax. The State shouldn't hold most people's biggest asset hostage. Michiganders should not need to pay an annual tax to the State to live on their own property.
Small Government
HOLD LANSING ACCOUNTABLE
An entire generation of young families are being left behind. By providing the much needed oversight of a teacher and the critical eye of a coach, Casey will work hard to protect your tax dollars from waste, fraud, and abuse. Holding the State accountable is a top priority for Casey's campaign.
PRO LOCAL GOVERNMENT
State overreach takes power away from local communities. Casey will work to ensure local governments maintain their local authority.
